So both my mom and I had similar vacation schedules so we decided, why not fly to Lebanon and see the family? We never go in spring and wow I am so glad we did. I can honestly say that I had more fun this time around than any of the previous trips. Yikes!
We were there for only two weeks but boy did we get around. We went to all the historic parts of town, like the citadel, the castle, old towns and markets, mosques, we even visited my great grandpa’s grave while we were there. We saw bathhouses and all the little corners of the city that no one knows of. And the weather was beautiful the whole time around. EVEN when we had this massive thunderstorm pass over. I’m talking MASSIVE. Rain, wind, thunder, and lightning!
We visited family and got to see my new little cousin as well. One of my cousin’s decided to take me around and we went paddle boating one day, went for sushi (yes they have it over there!) and plenty of other places. It was a little strange to me at first because I am not used to being taken out by my cousins (I have a lot) Im usually ignored while my little brother got to galavant everywhere with them. Whatever, I never bothered to understand it. It was fun and I enjoyed so many moments. We didn’t have time to shop or anything but I did grab a few trinkets to bring back home with me, which was great.
All in all, I had a fantastic time. This was the best spring break idea we ever came up with and it was so nice to do things we normally didnt.
See you next time Lebanon!
